I had both GSkill and Corsair, never had a single problem with them.

OP what CPU are you using?
Sandy bridge and Ivy bridge CPUs doesn't require fast RAM when overclocking as you'd generally touch only the multiplier not the BLK.

RAMs above 1600 does not show tangible performance increase unless you do heavy compute tasks, still not justifying the price difference IMO.
Also check the review on the Samsung 30nm RAMs. smile.gif

Yeah OP if you're just gaming, you might as well save money and keep the 1600mhz RAM you have. You might see a .1 fps increase or something like that if you upgrade. Intel cpus really don't respond to faster RAM above the 1600mhz range (except heavy compute stuff like mentioned above).

In case you don't want to take that advice, I have 8GB of G.skill RAM stock 1600, but OC'd to 1866 and they run great.

I would say that anything beyond 2133 is going to be worthless for a SandyBridge E build, as the memory controller doesn't seem to be extremely strong when it comes to cranking up the speed. However, there is the possibility of buying a 2400 kit and running it at 2133 with tighter timings and/or lower voltage, both of which will likely provide more benefits. I would rather have RAM that's rated for 2400 CL10 running at 2133 CL9 (etc).
