If you're a finger tip guy, there are a couple mice out right now that are built around that grip with amazing sensors. Zowie FK1 and the Roccat Kone Pure Military. You can also look into the Corsair M45. All three of those mice are wonderful and would run circles around every mouse on your list, except the MX518, and even then it would come down to comfort. The MX518/G400 shape was NOT built for fingertip. Actually, I'd imagine that would be quite painful.

Yeah, it's odd, my favorite mice from that list are in order: MX518 > MX Anywhere....lol. I've actually changed grips over the years, and over the last couple of years have tried all of them. I like to hold my mice with my fingertips, but the butt of the mouse I like to hit right where my fingers and palm meet, under the knuckle. Every mouse I've tried is either too tall or too long.

The Zowie FK1 looks long-ish. This is actually sitting in my cart on Amazon right this moment: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DHAD3JU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER, think I should try this one next?

The FK1 is actually perfect for us. Actually, you have a claw grip. The fingertip grip only has contact with the mouse on the fingertips. If you bring the palm into it and don't lay your hand on the mouse, then it's a claw grip. I do the exact same thing, except my mouse contact point is at the point where my pinky joins my palm. I squeeze the mouse into that point with my thumb. My hand has a weird lean. Guess that's why I find the EC1, IE 3.0, and Deathadder shapes so comfortable.

I think the Kone pure mice are wonderful for fingertip/claw grips, but you should buy the Pure Military and not the optical. The Military is just the pure optical with a better sensor and different colors.

I'll order both and return whichever one I like less, or I'll keep both, both together are less expensive than the Ouroboros I'm currently using, lol. Ya know what, I have a nice lean to my mouse hand as well....a pretty nice slant to the right. And holy crap! The mouse doesn't hit under all my knuckles, just my ring and pinky ones.

Which mouse do you use currently?

Hehe. I'm kind of an oddity here. I am the storage locker of mice. I am currently bouncing between the EC1 EVO, Deathadder 3.5G, G402(love this mouse soooo much), FK1, and the Kone Pure Military.

I've decided to move to 400DPI as my main sensitivity, so I've been really trying to learn my mice all over again. It's working out well. Increased accuracy across the board last night. thumb.gif

On the mobile side, random Microsoft 3000, 3500, 4000, 5000, Logitech MX Anywhere.

I sold my G9X about 2 weeks ago, and have tried 3 mice since then, none that I've loved (M65, Ouroboros, and Kone XTD) and the Ouroboros is the closest to good yet. Honestly I think my closest to favorite mouse would be the MX Anywhere....I want a slightly (and I mean ever so slightly) bigger mouse, but corded and stuff for gaming. :/

My next purchase will be a Kone Pure Optical followed by a Savu. Dunno what to do if I don't like those. I'm a hybrid grip, but mostly use fingertip, hence why I dislike all the big mice.

Anybody have any ideas of what I should try next?
Just try an FK1 then

It is quite painful indeed. I used a G5, 518, G400, and G400s and don't know why I ever put myself through so many years of pain. Lifting with pinky and thumb has always been the only way I could use those mice and it was awful. The G402 fixes that problem, but why use any mouse heavier than 90g when I have an FK1 now? smile.gif

I wish it fit me as well as it does you. It makes my hands cramp fairly quickly. I don't have the problem with the FK '14, so I might do a transplant, but as of right now... I'm more apt to use the Deathadder, EC1 EVO, or G402 than the FK1 if I'm going to be doing something for a longer period of time.

Really, a larger slightly wider version of the FK is actually less comfortable for you? Interesting, I didn't think that was possible.

The weight alone makes it much easier on my wrist, which had some chronic tendonitis for a couple years a few years ago. Mostly gone now but the FK1 I can do flickshots all day at 4 m/s and it is really a huge relief compared to even the Avior.
