The weight alone makes it much easier on my wrist, which had some chronic tendonitis for a couple years a few years ago. Mostly gone now but the FK1 I can do flickshots all day at 4 m/s and it is really a huge relief compared to even the Avior.

It's the coating... I really dislike it. I have dry hands and the FK1 squirts out of my hand like a wet banana. I have to squeeze hard and in the right spot in order to maintain my grip. When I'm in game, I can't be bothered to have to think about it that much. In a fire fight, I need to be able to forget my mouse and just execute the button presses that I need to.

Yup. This is one of the main reasons a lot of mice don't work for me. Constantly having to readjust my grip in game (and even subconsciously thinking about it) is a deal breaker. In that regard the coating/grip of the mouse is even more important to me than the size/weight. A mouse can have the perfect shape and be light as a feather but it doesn't matter if it still slips from the hand.

Man, I must be weird then cause it sticks to my hands like glue even with just a little bit of sweat. It sticks even better than the Avior.

I even remember having no problems with the DA 3.5G's glossy sides too except for the fact that they get really messy over time.

It really bugs me... I am probably going to break down and take it apart this weekend. I LOVE the glossy sides of my original EC1, EC2, Deathadder (glossy sides). The DA Black Edition is just fine for me as well. Mionix coatings are very nice, just like Zowie's older soft touch coatings. Hard non-glossy plastic is really the only thing that causes me grief.

This is why I really love the side grips on the DA Chroma that I have now. I had the same problem with the EC1 when I picked it up in the mornings. biggrin.gif When I played a little it was fine though.

The only thing that saves the full soft-touch EC1 EVO for me is the shape of the right side. There is a soft round ridge that my pinky fits under. That keeps the mouse secure in my hand. I still prefer my glossy EVOs, but that's for a mixture of reasons. For one, the glossy body keeps it stuck to my hand. For two, it's glittery pearloid plastic with a pink LED in the mouse wheel... How can you not fear a man that plays with that?

side grips are awesome.
the material they used on the xornet's sidegrips is just perfect.
i would want it for every mouse.

I like the coating on the Avior 7000 more since it's so grippy you don't need sidegrips.

I usually set my LEDs to pink if it's possible with whatever mouse I'm using. It's the color of passion and my foes subconsciously tremble in their souls because they know my blood-lust will never be truly fulfilled until they have all met their final demise smile.gif
