Oh dear...

CM Storm Spawn (current)

Logitech MX300 (didn't realize I bought a gaming mouse, remains being used on HP Pavilion as a project Linux Box)
Logitech MX500 (given to my other computer)
Logitech MX518 (given to my other computer)
Logitech G500 (handy for free scroll)

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (original due to review from PC Gamer and bought along with GTA III)
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (Legends now used by my brother)

Razer Diamondback (no longer interested in Ambi mice)
Razer Deathadder 1800 (reminder against raging)
Razer Deathadder 3500 (Up and failed)

Just remembered:

Logitech G5 (1 thumb button. Bought for the laser mouse hype)
Logitech G5 (Now with 2 Thumb Buttons! which was my reason for buying but the blue skin irritated me and was replaced by the G500).

Bought and returned:

Razer Deathadder 3500 (replacement found to be faulty)

There are more mice i've bought but I can't recall, and yes they've all been swapped around at some point depending on what I felt like using that day/ week. I have plenty of mouse pads and keyboards as well... still trying to build the ultimate computing experience (for me).

I've had:

2x IME 1.1

MX518

Steelseries Ikari Optical

Currently using DA 3.5g

IME is not bad but the build quality is pretty awful, especially with how the shell flexes, and the loose side buttons. The mouse wheel dies so fast it's super annoying. The sensor is nice but not very precise. I hate how it turns off too.

518 is below average. As far as build quality, the rubber crap on the sides is really a terrible choice, as it gets worse and worse over time. The sensor is crap. Obvious prediction and major negative acceleration. The drivers sucked balls too. It's too bad Logitech mouses still have this problem on their entire range. They need to start using decent sensors cause their build quality is exceptional.

Ikari Optical is also pretty bad, especially build wise. The body doesn't flex as much as the IME, but it still lacks structural integrity. The sensor was not bad, but still had negative accel and the drivers were even worse. The dpi switch button would be perfect for remapping but otherwise it was useless. The left and right click had the cheapest switches ever.

DA 3.5g is by far the best mouse I've had so far. The build quality is excellent, and the sensor is even better. Before using the other mouses I never thought a mouse could have neither positive or negative accel. The tracking is absolutely spot on, and this is pretty much the only mouse I trust for Quake. The buttons are just ok, not as good as a Logitech though. At least the drivers are decent, though I don't like how the newest version removed the sensitivity option so I have to tone the dpi down to 2200.

I also have a Taipan on order. It looks like it has the perfect shape but I guess I'll find out in a week.

How fast do you fling a mouse? The 518 v1 has very high IPS at 400 DPI and the 518 v2 should have been fine at 800 or less (drivers uninstalled). The Ikari optical had its highest tracking rates at 400 DPI. Over 160 IPS~ Exceeded the DA on most surfaces. Both have a simular angle snapping curve^^

I suppose the DA has one of the highest tracking rates around 1800 cpi area~ Would make sense if you kept your other mice near that setting, but im confused as to why you didn't have an issue with the intelli.

PS: The DA, Ikari, and 518 all use same sensor hardware and switches. ;D
