^ Not bad, but he might end up losing/not recovering money that way.  Ideally the better parts choice should have been had from the beginning.

i love the idea of adding another 4gb for 20$, else i'll do with it. i will try to validate it because i was aware that i wasn't supposed to be able to raise the multi and i get no gain from ocing even at 3.5ghz so it might be fake

If you can, I would definitely add another 4gb stick (get the same stick if you choose to do this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231423). This would help A LOT. Even better, just get whole new 2x2gb ram kit but at 1600mhz for like $25: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277 thumb.gif

Nice results remz1337! I think you got a decent deal and the fact that you got it to overclock that well is an added plus.

xd_1771, whats with the lecture and lesson response in your post(s)? How about you say something like "Nice cheap build with a nice overclock result!", instead of:

"Hey, what you bought is basically crap and poorly thought out. How about next time, you learn basic computer knowledge and stop thinking your "awesome" when really you're a tool and have no clue what a memory controller is." (translation).

I don't mean to sound like a troll (cause I'm definitely not trolling) xd_1771, but you're first response to the OP's first post is pretty arrogant and harsh. I can't be the only one who read your response and didn't get that feeling either. For having 18k+ posts on here, I'd think you'd be more constructive in a positive way and not the "positive" negative way. You're basically putting someone down for being excited about his/her new hardware. That's wrong (especially from someone with your post count).
Me posting this should remind you that everyone's s#it does indeed, stink.

I'm going to wager xd had already told remz all of that information in remz's thread about building a PC, and it went in one eye and out the other.

Don't worry remz, You came from a P4, a P4!! I'm sure it will feel quite fast and good for you, and memory upgrades are cheap.
