Thread Starter
I'm looking at getting a TV for my girlfriend. Her birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. She has a old TV from like 1998 tongue.gif and its like 17in TV. Recently she start watching Netflix and playing on her Xbox 360... So I'm looking for something causal. Go as high as 400$.

Not sure if you are a Costco member, but they have decent deals on TVs and usually give a free extension of the warantee.

personally, I own a Vizio and it does the job.

Some of the reviews say the stand and speaker's suck.

personally I would go with a brand that is trusted for making quality tv's like Samsung, Vizio, Phillips, Sony, etc. rather than buying a super bargain... but that is just my two cents.

You can get a variety of LCDTV panels shipped for free from Amazon.com.

I would stick with the following brands:

Vizio
LG
Panasonic
Samsung
Sony

Of those brands mentioned you can get a quality 32-37" panel from either Vizio or LG for ~$330 shipped or less.

32" LG $299.99 + free shipping sold via TigerDirect thru Amazon.com - solid deal:
