FPS gaming mouse for under $70? - Page 2

Seriously, stay away from Razer and Cyborg. Worst $200 I've ever spent.

I have to be another to disagree with this on principle. I own both a Cyborg FLY5 JOystick, and a Razer Deathadder 3500dpi. I love both and have never had the slightest issue (physical or otherwise) with either of these products. I also used a Razer Carcharias gaming headset for a while before switching for entirely voluntary reasons. I think it's basely unfair for one experience with a faulty product to determine a person's viewpoint on a product. I HATED Windows Vista, but I use Windows 7 and absolutely love it.

Also, in no way does this make me a Razer "fanboy" or whatever (the most overused word in technology)... I have used Logitech products in the past, as well as many other popular brands. I simply am using a Razer product right now and I'm really enjoying it.

If you've had so many problems with those brands, it might be you didn't make an informed buy.
Most Razer products are on par or higher quality than most other mice companies, even if the end-user might feel different (experiences are subjective).
While Cyborg is not a brand that has been around for that long, they reached a good level (and acceptance) in not that long, which is something to consider - meaning they can't have such a bad lineup, but rather the opposite, they must have been doing something right wink.gif

With all due respect, I am going to put those under categories and re-organize your advice with additions of my own :
Palm :
· Zowie EC1 eVo (if your PCS needs don't absolutely exceed 3.5m/s and you can tolerate hard switches).
· Razer DeathAdder.
· Logitech G400.

Claw :
· CM Storm Spawn.

Claw / Fingertip :
· Roccat Savu.
· Razer Abyssus (if you have a hard mousepad).
· Zowie EC2 eVo/AM (if your PCS needs don't absolutely exceed 3.5m/s and you can tolerate hard switches).

WMO, explorer 3.0 and intellimouse 1.1 are the only good mice mankind has managed to build, and they're 10 years old. We can send people into space, but our specie is somehow too dumb to produce a functional mouse. Don't get me wrong, these 3 mice are not perfect but they're the best thing available to us (and one of the only great Microsoft products).

Current Choices:
Corsair M60
I love the idea of a sniper button, but I'm told that it actually hinders more than helps. Good thing it can be reprogrammed.

DeathAdder:
Looks nice and simple, supposedly the best palm grip gaming mouse?

CM Storm Sentinel Advanced II:
Macros with onboard memory and high DPI?

G400:
Not a really big fan of the area around the scroll wheel.

Which one should I get? Anything else I should consider? (price is not an issue as long as its the neighborhood of ~$70)

Honestly if the deathadder works for you on a comfort level it is pretty much one of the best mice you can get. If its not comfortable for you we can recommend other things, but I would say go for it if you like its shape. If you don't like its shape look at what DeMS listed, those are all very good mice that will do you well.

Deathadder. Has been great for playing Black Ops and MW2. Also Synapse 2.0 is good for customizing the DPI.

Any mouse needs a mouspad. And if you are investing money into a good mouse, you do need a good mousepad.
Optical sensors will not work on shiny polished desks.
