Yes thats right! Another lutro0 mod. But dont panic, the Aspros will be finished before I start this one. I am currently working on writing up this thread . I will inform you of when I add sponsors and when those parts come in!

_.-( Sponsors )-._

A special thanks goes out to the following sponsors for making the project possible!
Please continue to watch as more sponsors are in the works and being added.

_.-( Introduction )-._

As many of you know my name is Lutro0, most know me for my sleeving guides (http://www.youtube.com/user/lutro0) and for running Lutro0 Customs. (https://www.facebook.com/Lutro0Customs).

My mentality has always been to help as many people with sleeving and modding as I can because I learned everything I know about modding because people took the time to create detailed logs of their work. I run my logs all the same, they are meant to be learning materials for upcoming modders. I try to share every single bit of info I can and I will always answer your questions when I see them.

I have never done a sponsored mod before but I have done 2 mods,

The Katharos - http://www.overclock.net/t/765778/project-katharos-pure-nzxt-beta-evo-mod-april-2011-motm-winner
The Aspros - http://www.overclock.net/t/1024237/project-aspros-white-corsair-600t-white-build-2-new-pics-18-12

I am very honored to call OCN my home forum and I spend allot of my time donating my time in the cable and sleeving sub forums with my guides and FAQ. As well as answering as many questions as I can. I am also a team captain for the team comp for folding@home on OCN. I have been hugely involved in folding for a while now and will continue to be as long as I have a computer.

All in all, I do my best with what I have and I try my best to leave no detail unnoticed no matter how small it is. Nils from MDPC whom which I consider a close friend, has drilled the mentality of "no compromise" into my head and that bleeds into my work and ethics. It simply means that I promise to not compromise on the smallest detail - if it is not to my standards it gets redone.

_.-( Sponsors )-._

When I set out to get sponsors I really didnt expect the huge backing that I got as if was my first time seeking sponsors and making the contacts. NZXT was the first to fall in as they have been trying to do a mod with me for a long time now, but I didnt feel the time was right in my life to start one. I also wanted to have a great idea, something that would be worthy of sponsorship.

The rest of the sponsors where all a surprise, all of them are noteworthy but a few that really stuck out to me was MNPCTech, Skitzba1, and Performance-PCs.

Mnpctech namely Bill Owen was one of the first modders that I learned from so he has always held a special place in my "modders heart" I was enthusiastic when he said yes to sponsoring me, as I have always wanted to work with him on a project. Even more so we worked it out so that I could be a part of one of his mods as well. I am very much looking forward to that.

Performance-PCs has in a sense been a rival of sorts as we both sell sleeved goods and I have alway had a very professional relationship with them. Most of my sleeving parts are bought from them as it is convenient and they will always make it right if a mistake happens. Hank was leary at first about sponsoring me but after discussing the topic for a while we both realized we are on the same level with our goals and a awesome gesture of sponsorship came out of it.

Skitzba1 has not always been around in my life, but once we sat down and talked one day it was clear he was going to a good friend. Many of you know his giving heart as he wants to help everyone he possible can with anything he possibly can. When he offered to help me with the mod I was very thankful as I know he is starting out his business again and just got over a move. However he still blessed me with a sponsorship for the motherboard.

My philosophy on sponsorship is that the parts that are given need to be showcased and the sponsors need to see that their parts are very much appreciated. So I will be making unboxing videos and a "modders rundown" on all of the parts that I have gotten. It is only fair that these gracious corporations get the shout out that they deserve as they have blessed me with these fine parts.

_.-( Project Name )-._

Xýlo kai chalkó simply means "wood and copper" in greek. Those that have followed my mods know my deep love for the Greek language. I am a young adult pastor and I study and dig deep into the Bible often. I have always loved how one simple word in greek can have a deep and profound meaning when translated into the english language. I have chose these exact words as they will be directly correlating as to what this mod will be all about.

_.-( Build Parts )-._

TBA

_.-( Case Introduction )-._

I choose the NZXT Source 220 as I have built many computers using the Source 210. I have always held a favor for NZXT cases even more so cases that have a minimal design. I believe those to be the best modding cases as they are an empty canvas waiting to be used.

The sleek corners and huge amount of features make the Source 220 a great case for anyone, modder or not.

_.-( Concept )-._

The concept for this mod will be a mixture of organic and inorganic parts. I have always been fascinated with those mods that use wood accents. However I always felt like the wood had taken over and left some to be desired.

For this project I want to mix browns and earth tones to create an equal balance of both earth and metal. Brown is not a color you see too much in a mod and copper is another color that either gets fully showcased but never mixed equally.

The goal of this mod is to create a dark ambiance using a mildly lit case and use an exotic wood to highlight the black and copper in the build. I want it to look as exotic as it sounds. I will be taking my time with it as I usually do and sparing no detail in the process. The cases integrity will be showcased with a minimalism aspect on the outside while keeping all of the detail and showcasing on the inside.

_.-( Sponsored Parts )-._

This section will share the parts that my awesome sponsors have blessed me with for this build. I will be slowly adding each sponsor as their parts arrive and I find the time to take proper photos of the products. As I have stated before my philosophy on sponsorship is that the products that were given need a proper display, and a good amount of thanks needs to be given.

MNPCTech has been a huge name in the modding industry and for most modders does not need an introduction so I wont go about boring you with that. I am very thankful that Bill Owen has choose to sponsor me these parts as they are nice finishing touches to the mod. All are parts of very high quality with allot of attention to packaging to make sure that a finished, clean product arrives safely.

If you are interested in purchasing please check the links below the pictures.

This company really needs no introduction. I have had the honor of working with them on a few projects. I am humbled and honored that a company of their caliber was willing to sponsor my project. I plan to display their cards like works of art.

NZXT has been a contributor to my work before, but they have always wanted me to do a full mod for them and include their fine materials using one of their own cases. I had no problem with that as I love their products and will continue to use them into the future.

If you are interested in buying their products please visit their site @ http://www.nzxt.com/new/

You will see in this image why I chose these fans. Once the sticker is removed we have a beautiful looking brush that is just the right color, and when the fan is on a sweet copper blur.

This company really needs no introduction either. Corsair has always been a top notch company with top notch products. I was extremely excited when they contacted me with the sponsorship opportunity. Not only did they sponsor an awesome kit of their newest ram, but were gracious enough to also provide their new flagship Powersupply.

If you are interested in their products please check them out @ http://www.corsair.com/us/

This kit is a thing of beauty all by itself, however I have some special plans to mod this ram to fit into my mod.

sponsored00006.jpg
I am also excited to sleeve this bad boy. I have not opened it up yet to check out the pin out on the PSU as I will leave it to be somewhat of a surprise. Hopefully it is a good surprise.

Mayhems has been a part of my projects before and of course I was happy to see them be a part of this one. The pastel line from Mayhems is a thing of beauty.

If you are interested in what products Mayhems has to offer I would encourage you to check them out @ http://www.mayhems.co.uk/shop2/

Skizab1 has special mention in this mod as he sponsored the motherboard and because well hes just a nice person in general. I met skitz by skyping him out of the blue to talk about sleeving, what started out as a sleeving convo ended up into a 2 hour talk about mods, life and well everything. I have seen him pour his heart into his work and try to help others even though he does not type english well at all. (if you have seen him type you will know what I mean =P) None the less he has gained lots of friends as both a modder and a good person with good intentions in every project he does.

I encourage you to check him out on facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/skitzab1ModSupportAndLiveStreamModding
