a employee of the local store where i buy my equipment told me that some client are having problems wiyh corsair psu and he advised me to go with antec

is he telling th truth or is there any chance that he just needs to clear the antec stock

Ha, probably, not that there's anything wrong with Antec. Comparing the two specific models you're considering is the best way to choose a psu, this whole brand a is better than brand b is a poor generalization when you're talking about the likes of Antec and Corsair.
