That is the display I am currently using, showed up yesterday, and I even ordered from that seller.

I would go for that but it seems there is no perfect pixel check with that. The perfect pixel checked ones for that monitor was not a top rated seller so i might lean towards a yamakasi catleap as a top rated seller is selling a perfect pixel one.

red-cap has perfect pixel versions, sometimes in Catleaps and sometimes the Shims.

Now I wouldn't bother with perfect pixel, here is why....

Perfect Pixel doesn't mean that you are going to actually get a display with perfect pixel. Stuck pixels are not counted in the "perfect pixel" program, on any seller I looked, it only covers dead pixels. It also doesn't mean they will take it back and send another if you pay the premium, you are simply refunded a certain amount of money per dead pixel you find and can show them. With red-cap any defective pixel count of 5 and higher qualifies as a returnable item anyways! So really, perfect pixel isn't worth the premium, as you already have a return policy in place on defective pixels. The whole perfect pixel thing was something I put a lot of thought into, and the math just doesn't work out on it.

With that said, even if a display has a few dead/stuck/defective pixels, good luck finding them! A singular defective pixel on its own somewhere on the display isn't going to be seen during use, and hard to see if you are looking for it.

Save the few bucks, just order a display outside of the "perfect pixel" thing.

And FYI I have seen plenty of OCNers that hate the AG coating. So don't just take 1 or 2 guys opinion.

I'm sure that there are lots of people that would hate the AG coating. Most of the monitors I have owned have had an AG coating, and the coating on the u2711 doesn't seem any more aggressive, but with the pixel density being as small as it is it can get annoying. Solid colors have a kind of glimmering effect, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I would definitely prefer this monitor with a glossy screen. Still, the overall experience has been fantastic and if I had it to do over again I'd still order this monitor.

Well someone else had mentioned what you just explained and I followed that route. I just went without a perfect pixel thing and ordered my Catleap :)

You are right about your explenations though and they all make sense. +rep for that :)))

My current displays lately all had 0 dead pixels and I am really hoping that this Catleap also has 0 dead pixel.... :)

120 hz all the way. I bought a 2560x1440 to replace my 27" 1920x1080 120 hz and just returned it. 60 hz is still too choppy for my liking.. even in non-FPS gaming.
