I have this issue too.
I had a problem of screen flickering / lines in video playback after an AMD to NVIDIA GPU transfer.
Fixion driver sweeper solved this issue, though it does not succeed at deleting the registry entries.
Take note these registry entries also can not be removed manually. Also not in safe mode.
At the core, it's about dlls that can't be removed (also some other type of files).
I'm considering a new windows install (***) or not fixing it at all.
If somebody knows a solution, it would save a lot of hastle.
I have a new gfx card installed, its nvidia not amd. There really is no issue with the AMD registry value but I want to make sure that my system is clean with false registry files.
My experience with Atiman and the new Driver Fusion have been poor.
Atiman worked well the first time I used it, but it removed components that AMD's drivers never installed (I had manually installed the most recent build of VC++ 2010 and deleted the corresponding redistributables from my Catalyst install folder, so AMD's drivers never touched this). However, the second time I tried to use it, it removed almost nothing. Removing ATIman itself was a huge pain in the ass as it left behind considerable registry clutter after running it's uninstaller; this seemed more than a bit hypocritical to me.
Driver Fusion's free version (the replacement for Driver Sweeper) is supposed to have similar functionality to Driver Sweeper, but it refused to remove any registry entries it discovered in its scan.
I ended up simply going back to Driver Sweeper 3.2.0 and using that to remove the majority of my driver remnants, while manually deleting the reset myself.
