But if it gets good recommendations from this site I might just go with that, mainly cause I trust the general view of this site.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to completely remove Norton 360 wackosmiley.gif
I am the only one that uses my computer. And I am pretty good with what to click and what not and all that.

to remove norton 360 use RevoUninstaller, its amazing.

What's wrong with Norton? Last time I looked, I got the impression that they'd got their stuff together. I just about fell of my seat when I saw it was actually being recommended by people.

I'm using MSE on one of my PCs - when I started using it, it was scoring exceptionally well, but now it's reliability seems to have slumped.

My main browsing PC (the one we do banking etc. on) has paid ESET SS4, which I really like. The firewall is outstanding. If I wasn't cheap, I'd have it on every system.

I was using NORTON 360 5.0 (2011) on one of my computers and never had an issue with it ... then the subscription ran out, and I thought I'd try Microsoft Security Essentials ... within 2 weeks I got the WIN64.SIREFEF trojan on that machine, and I'm STILL trying to clean it off there, it's a NASTY Bugger that when MSSE attempts to clean it off causes the system to reboot, so it's stuck in an endless rebooting cycle that I'm trying to read up on how to resolve, so I'd say people need something BETTER than Microsoft Security Essentials, but that's just my opinion.

Had McAfee before NORTON 360 and thought McAfee hasn't been as good as it used to be either like some others have stated.

Got KASPERSKY on my other computer, came FREE with the ASUS ROG motherboard software, and just reupped the subscription with KASPERSKY PURE 2.0 (2012) ... that system has been 100% clean from day 1. thumb.gif

So I'd suggest KASPERSKY, and think NORTON 360 isn't too bad actually. bigeyedsmiley.png I can't recommend MS Security Essentials at all. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
