I've never ventured into keyboards in gaming perspective, and I'd like to look into buying a new one to replace my stock logitech PS2 keyboard that I've been using all this while. I've been reading up on Mech keyboard articles here and on other forums for the past hour and I am sort of overwhelmed with choices or with what I should be looking into getting, or if I should be getting a mech keyboard at all
Here is a brief bio of what I'd use my keyboard for
Gaming: Mostly BF3 nowadays, but I was heavy into MMOs for a while before, possibly want to get into GW2. So Macros keys are fine(I used software macros before)
A quick note, I usually hit 4+ keys at once when I play specific roles like heli on jet on BF3, my current keyboard is limited to 4 keys only
Typing: I usually gravitate to average wpm of around 70-80 when I type up assignments or any text related documents. So I'd like a silent or smoother keys to press(my current is loud with the click sound everytime I press a key)
Budget: I have a somewhat tight budget, of about ~50$ CAD, but I need to pay more considering it's value-bang for buck, I could look into it
Edit: Should probably mention why I want to get a new keyboard, the current one I have is PS2, and I just upgraded to a mobo that supports 1 PS2 port, the PS2-USB adaptor doesn't work for my keyboard. My mouse is the stock PS2 logitech as well, but it's not limiting me at all, so don't see a point in upgrading in terms of performance
