I know it isn't. The author seemed to think it was though. Did you read my post?

I prefer pixel quality over pixel density any day. Although the Retina display is nice, there are a number of laptops with better color gamut.

Exactly. The whole "retina" thing just cracks me up. 60% NTSC on a 2880×1800 display! Brilliant!

Have you ever actually used a 100% gamut screen? For anything besides professional applications, 70% will be more accurate because normal apps are not designed to be used with such screens. Colors will end up looking to strong and vibrant with 100%

LOL, no. I use a 110% screen on my desktop and a 95% on my notebook. Looking at garbage 40% or 60% monitors pains me.

Same. I tend to be far to close to the screen, so I'd need something like 600ppi for it to be retina for me.

And what, pray tell, professional work are you doing that requires that degree of color accuracy? And while I'm at it, I might as well ask what calibrating tools the both of you use, as surely no professional with such requirements would settle for factory calibration.

MS Paint and I ask my dog for calibration she barks when it's right.
