Opinions please, if you're bored and can be bothered

Hey everyone.
Need some advice on a few laptops so I'll keep it as short as possible.
Many thanks.

What I'm after:
General every day use including Photoshop from time to time. Nothing silly like 10000x 1000000MB photos either.
No gaming but sure why not some room for it if possible within budget... Have a pc and ps3 for that anyway.

What's important:
A beautiful crisp looking screen; very big on how things look on screen
Snappy every day performance

Size:
13"+
Hard drive size does not bother me as I have a 16GB usb 3 if i need to transfer stuff back and forth over from pc to laptop e.g few movies etc, besides i would most likely rip it out and put an ssd in to it.

Design
Really like the look of ultra books (thin sleek and good looking) but if you want anything decent spec... well I cannot see the money justified.
Backlit keyboard would be nice but rather a good solid build.

Budget:
500.00-1000.00

2nd or 3rd gen cpu, discrete gpu or not to bother at this price range, avail. Option of upgrading it and price?
Ram standard or 1600mhz? possible to upgrade to higher?
i3 complete poo or at least i5?

Here's a few i think are ok, please feel free to look around site if can be bothered to spot something better value, or perhaps direct from manufacturer. So much for keeping it short... Anyway clueless with laptops so thanks again.

I'd recommend one of the HP AMD "Ultrabooks". They're not too expensive and they have an APU which will allow you to do anything you need to do while having a very decent GPU.

If you're liking ultrabooks i STRONGLY suggest the Samsung 13" Ultrabook, for light photoshop/GIMP2.6 it works absolutely perfectly, the specs are as follows:
i5 2457M
4GB Ram
HD3000
128Gb Samsung SSD

I know the parts seem extremely common and on par, except it does perform extremely well, it may be due to the smaller resolution, but it does perform well for what is inside. If you're looking for a better monitor, maybe at 1080P you would be looking at a larger price range. I Did get my old laptop (DV8 - HP) for around 1200 (AUD) and it performed, and still performs extremely well (i7 720/230M 1080P). I STRONGLY (Yes caps) suggest both of these laptops for your uses.

Forgot to add this, the fusion laptops perform extremely well for most laptop applications, and are usually cheap.
