seems to have higher end i7 1600mhz ram and gt650m

It really depends on what you use it for. If its going to be at home on a table, thats a good choice.
Personally, I got tired of big, hot, heavy laptops. My current 14" thinkpad is as big as I want on my lap.

If you aren't going to be gaming, don't get a dedicated GPU, just adds to the weight/heat.

3rd Gen i5 3510M
8GB DDR3 1600 (16GB max)
1GB nVidia 650M

Looks like a good deal to me but I could be wrong. Plus you can upgrade a few things to your liking as well.

pretty much everything and anything not so much gaming but it's good to have it there
mainly when I'm smoking chilling in the garage and when i travel which is not frequent

I've been considering a lot of laptops then i figured might as well look at 3610QM being 3rd gen if I wasn't able to squeeze a dedicated gpu in the price HD4000 would have been ok.
I definitively don't want to upgrade it for quite some time as I mainly upgrade my desktop. Would probably get a nice cooler for it if things get too hot.
I think the best thing is to go down there and test it out as if I feel that it's not sturdy, screen looks washed out and trackpad is awful I won't look at it twice not even for a couple of hundred.

Originally I was only going to get a crappy all rounder but figured might as well get something decent.

This place ships worldwide. As for warranty you would need to ask them. Price I posted is USD so that in AUD is well with in you budget.

Ended up getting a 3rd gen i5 3210m with 4GB 1600mhz Samsung series 3 for a decent price. It came with so much bloat ware it's ridiculous. 85 Programs to be exact lol.
Trying to figure out if i should now exchange it; as I see now way to disable HD4000 and use 7670M?
Anyone know a trick?

arghh it's a little too late now. i've re installed windows with the disc it came with (bloatware free) seems fine, haven't tried any games on it not even for a laugh, but would really like to know if it's possible to just use dedicated gpu only.
Should i throw in another 4 GB of ram or buy an ssd and trade off space for performance? Not even sure what performance on it wold be like. Rapid storage reports 3gb/s although that could just be the slow 5400 rpm hdd
Its quite thin for a full size laptop and has it's ugly/sexy angles. Outside in the sun it's 90% visible due to mat screen and high brightness.

Ended up with a xps 15 72k rpm GB Seagate momentus, i7 2670QM, GT540, 6GB 1333, JBL audio with sub woofer, backlit keyboard. Which ever moron configured it and didn't go with 1080p screen but can't complain for 800. Actually really like it and the bulky lines are growing on me. Have to say I did enjoy the mat screen a bit more?
it's pretty quick but is it possible to upgrade screen?
Is it possible to make screen mat and no I'm not painting it , joking. Protective non reflective film maybe?
Seen one on eBay for as low as 130.00 plus you would need a new monitor cable. Would dell do it seeing as it's last gen
