The board's definitely failed then. The G54 is an extremely failure-prone board. I've actually had it blow under an 80W Phenom X2 555 (mine was the worst recorded failure)...although that was something very rare but you get the idea biggrin.gif

Well, that confirms it.  You killed your VRMs....

 

The 870A-G54 is not ready for 125W TDP quad and hexa cores.  It has the highest VRM failure rate of any board.

 

Your processor was at what speed? Stock? How long has this build been active?

Like TurboMach said i had my CPU at stock speed never messed with the settings at all the build has been active for just over a year, it's just so weird how the computer has run fine for so long never overheating or getting hot at all then one boom motherboard ****s the bed wink.gif anyways im taking it apart right now to get a better look at the mobo like someone early suggested i do.

Some failure happen after quite a long time.  You probably passed the degradation threshold.  Given your stock speed operation and stock cooler the long degradation time could be somewhat expected.  Most of the recorded failures happened with overclocked processors, but quite a number have been recorded at stock.  Because you meet the conditions, MSI owes you a full warranty exchange.

Thanks for letting me know that il try to get an exchange but i am going to buy a better motherboard not useing this MSI model again lol thanks for the information though i will try and sell it.

BTW

I have stripped my computer down and i have closely inspected the motherboard but i can't see any signs of damage, cant you usually see the damage in these kind of situations.

Unless it goes full GTX 570, you can rarely tell if a piece of electronics like that is dead.
