Tubing color turning to blue/green

My white tubes (this one is brand new):

Tubing used in the system:

I was just changing my fans and as I need to disassemble all the stuff I decided to also flush the system. I had to only cut two tubes to replace the fans but the tubing looks quite used. There was some particle in the water in small quantity. The water was still clear, nothing strange to report beside this. 6-8months without flush btw.

Let me know what you think. Should I change all the tubing?

Cheers

It looks like plasticizer. It's harder to tell with opaque tubing like the white. With particles in the water, I would change the tubing. The risk is you may start to smear your reservoir and fill your block(s).

If you had found no particles in the water, I would have thought you could wait a few more months and watch the reservoir for particles...which you could still do as long as you have a cheap reservoir or one that is easily cleaned.

By the way, what brand of tubing is that? I have had Tygon go blue-white with plasticizer. The Masterkleer took around 18 months to turn brown. I am still using Primochill Primoflex LRT clear since January.

Good luck. smile.gif

I also have primochill LRT white... Gone bad in 6-8 months mad.gif

Finally decided to not wait for an answer and disassemble the block; plasticizer:
