I'm looking for a good 140mm PWM fan. I'm looking right now at these Akasa Vipers. My main gripe is they are black and yellow; so for my build, I'm going to have to paint them. Are there any similarly preforming fans that aren't bright yellow? Only ones I can find are Bitfenix Spectre Pro PWM's but they are so new no one sells them.

if you need pwm, you're pretty much stuck with the vipers, if not, you can get the bgears blast fans

I'm using the cougar hydros PWM and they are really great. You can have all black or black and orange. I have 10 in my case right now.

Are they 140mm? I can't find the 140mm Cougar's in PWM, only 120mm. Even on thier site it only shows pvm in 120mm.

no they are not the PWM (i bought them). the PWM pros just got released in the UK.. soon
in the states. i had been looking at the artic cooling F14PWM, but settled on the BGears and
a 7-volt adapter for a right now. opt for the vipers and a good coat of paint would be my choice.

I just sent Cougar an email. I don't know why they don't sell 140 PWM at newegg....Probably custom order is my guess..at this point.I may replace my 9x 140 mm for 9xPWM...in next 2 days or so...for my build; if Cougar confirms they sell direct.

I ordered a bunch of Arctic cooling F14 fans. They're 1300rpm fdb pwm fans and at $10 a pop you can't go wrong.
I would love to see a good review on these fans.
So far they have been working well but I haven't tried any other 140mm fans on this rad so I don't really have anything else to compare them to. I can say that they downvolt well (I don't use the pwm for some reason) and work well when mounted horizontally.

I have both the Akasa Viper 140mm and 120mm.
The Viper 140mm has nice airflow but is rather loud, it's not quiet like the Viper 120mm.

140mm fans in general seem louder than 120mm fans at the same fan speed. I've noticed that with my AC F14s and my 140mm cougar vortex. The both of those seem louder than my GT2150s or Scythe Kama flow 2 fans at around the same fan speed.
