That is sadly true. You know I can cook pretty well when I have time. Sad we were so rushed.

Well I still haven't seen the manufacturer say anything anywhere about the block, but they did say they're launching today and that I could reveal the name then so I guess I can go ahead....

That was rather tricky of you! tongue.gif Any pics of that block? Or is it externally the same with some upgraded internals?

Those koolance 380i channels look twice as deep as my raystorm. I think nickel plated ones are all going to the .5mm range channels as probably easier to get a better nickel coating. Koolance managed to do it with great performance... with deeper channels. Thanks again for testing!

No problem. Yes it's interesting because I thought the 370 did so well because it had such narrow channels. As for the depth, the M6 block has super deep channels but still doesn't perform as well? So I'm not sure what the optimum base is. I'll be compiling a table of the number of channels and area for the blocks. I wonder why Koolance didn't just make a new base for the 370 though. They could have kept the larger area and just made the channels wider and deeper.

Way to go, Koolance! smile.gif

The aesthetics are a bit bleh though. Wish they stayed with the full nickel look instead of using acetal in the center. Oh well~ as long as it performs right?

Same here, not sure I want to do plating on anything, I'd rather do an Apogee HD or even a Raystorm Copper, even tho I read that the Raystorm does not remount with a decent consistency and may be too bowed for Socket 2011. I was all set to get a Raystorm until I read all that stuff.
