I am interested in this monitor but I cannot find anything regarding it's input lag. Does anyone have some reliable info regarding this?

This is all I have found...

"One thing that is different here however, when comparing the Asus monitor to the Acer is the level of input lag I was able to measure. One thing that I’ve noticed immediately after getting the Asus VG278H monitor for testing is the good responsiveness I’ve got from it, although I’m not overly sensitive to input lag. After measuring it I can confirm that the Asus is better than the Acer in that aspect, although the VG278H is not totally lag free, the input lag at the default factory settings is very low… something very close to 0 milliseconds and less than 5 ms for sure. "

I wish I could get something more accurate, though less than 5ms of input lag is fantastic it really seems too good to be true.

1080p at 27 inches? That ppi might be a bit of a deal breaker...

It's bearable. I'd have liked a higher res screen, but that's the choice, higher res or 120hz. And at least I don't have to worry about driving a higher res.

Honestly the PPI is totally fine to me. My ps3 is played on a 40in TV with most of the games only running at 720p and I think it looks good, let alone 1080p on a 27in. My main concern is the input lag as I am going to be playing more fighting games now (SF4, Persona4, Guilty Gear, maybe KOF).

Bitgod...Are you keen on input lag? What is your opinion? Perhaps you have another source with info regarding input lag?

The VG278H has <3ms of input lag @ bot 60 & 120hz=negligible compared to a CRT. PRAD uses an oscilloscope to measure the input lag which is currently the most accurate.

I am so happy with this VG278H, it and the nVidia Vision 2 have totally got me back into 3D stuff. The picture is so much easier to watch than the 236H. And I decided to upgrade my PowerDVD from 10 to 12 and it's ability to upconvert 2D to 3D is pretty nice. I just popped in Starship Troopers to try out the SW a bit and after a few scenes I was curious to try the 3D, and it was sweet. Not as good as a well-made 3D movie, but it added depth in places. Really glad I spent this money now.

Yea I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It is the perfect size for gaming, 3D looks incredible, it even works with the 3D on PS3. Gran Turismo 5 in 3D is phenomenal. Extremely low input lag which is exactly what I need for all my fighting games. Of course the 120HZ makes the games look smooth as butter. Definitely a great all around monitor for some serious gaming. biggrin.gif
