Was going to for the more reasonable price tag. But this loud pipe whine has me a bit iffy now. I want to cross fire them later and i cant have alot of noise coming from my computer.

Generally sli is smoother then cfx, while cfx gets you more frames, but that does not necessarily matter if its not very smooth. A guy who owned both 680's and 7970's said that the 680's overall provided a smoother experience, as well as I have heard this from other people. What res are you at? If you are on, or are planning on going multiple monitors, get the 7970 hands down. However if you are on a single monitor at any resolution I would get a 680(And if money is not a problem the lighting.)

I'm going to be on a single screen. If i sli/cf it would only be later when my 1 card is getting a bit dated.

Sapphire is like Asus, Great quality build but if something goes wrong good luck with customer support

Nvidia = go for Evga and AMD = go for MSI.

Yeah thats one of the reason i was even thinking about paying the extra money was to just have evga support. ... Wait a min are you saying the sabertooth mobo i'm about to buy from Asus is a bad idea!! lol

I vote MSI or Sapphire.

I own both and have not had a problem out of either.

And if Gigabyte cards are ANYTHING like their motherboards... GO WITH GIGABYTE!
