Some sort of Arcane Arts make Razer's rubber seemingly invulnerable to my NanoSweat. It's still 100% intact. And given how thin the coating seems (and how the logo is "unpainted", thus making it even more "vulnerable feeling") and how hard I game, that's an achievement.

Been cleaning the things (Razer ONZA Tournament Edition and Razer Abyssus 3.5G) with either just water or mild hand soap/mild dish detergent diluted in water (the same things that, mixed with my environmental hazard hands, eventually destroyed my KOVA[+]). Works perfectly and leaves the rubber like new every single time.

So far my experience with Razer products has been superb.

I fully expect both of my Razerthings to break spectacularly. I'm just, quite frankly, very surprised they haven't exploded in flashy fashion yet.

I have to say I have the Razer Lachesis 4000 DPI with rubberized coating and it looks the same now as it did 3-4 years ago I bought it with heavy DoTA gaming. I picked it up for 25 bucks not expecting much but in terms of coating this thing is durable, even my logitech g5 has had its paint rubbering coating worn down but not this Razer.

THREAD UPDATE (after like a million years)

Both my Abyssus and my Onza Tournament Edition are still in 100% perfect, mint condition (they even smell like new!). They have been under daily heavy use and heavy exposure to my acidic sweat with no problems whatsoever.

As per Razer's advice, I clean both every so often with mild dish detergent and water.

I'm really happy thus far smile.gif

Is that the normal Abyssus you have or the Mirror edition? I had pretty bad experience with my Deathadder's rubber peeling/melting off after 2 years of use so I'm staying away from rubber-coated mice as well.

Normal Abyssus with 2 year warranty.
