I like the idea of white being my base with blue and black being the mixed accents. I have an EVGA gtx 670 so my 6 and 8 pin won't go together but I will have side by side 6 pins. The 8 pin there could be considered my CPU power cable. I can take a pic of the actual system when I am at home, but I think any combo of white, blue, and black would be appropriate for a scheme. Just note that the blues in the motherboard and ram are a bit deeper than those in the pictures. Also I have ordered the B-magic, black, and white sleeving from Nils at MDPC and don't plan on buying anymore or from anywhere else. In your opinion of the two layouts I have which would you rather see? Thanks for your input!thumb.gif
EDIT: I will be going the route of water cooling in the near future what color coolant in your opinion would be better blue or white?

How about something like this instead

I stuck with an offset since you said you like that the best. I think the black just makes it blend with the inside of the case too much. I like the white and blue, but a grey still goes with the parts and adds a little contrast. I always like sleeving that isn't perfectly matchy matchy to the inside, but has just a tiny spark of flair. With the 24 pin broken up like that, you still get the offset you like, but I think it has an overall nicer effect.

And now I see that you already ordered the black. In that case, I'd just swap the grey for black and do it like that.

If it had to be between blue and white, I'd go with pastel white, though it would be nice to see some contrast.

I'm looking for new ideas of what colors to sleeve my PSU in. I've got the following parts in my build:

Fractal Design Arc Midi with the front honeycomb painted grey with Prolimatech Vortex Blue! fans in the front

Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

G.Skill Sniper

Gigabyte 7950 Windforce

HT Omega Striker
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme and replacing the fans with black Cougar Vortex (I plan on dying the orange rubber pads)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I also have NZXT white LEDs in the case, but am thinking of swapping them out for pink LEDs.

So far, these are the ideas for colors that I have. Obviously they can be mixed or matched. I'd love to hear which one you think looks best or if you have any suggestions. I can change the fuschia and blue, but would like to stick with them. The grey is already bought and dyed that color, so I won't be changing that one.

I was always a fan of the offset scheme something about a symmetrical scheme just seems a little too average/normalized to me. What about a grey accent line between the orange on the 24 pin or replacing one of the double grey accent with a color? I like to look of accent colors, but am not really fond of doubling down on them(ie repeating the same accent color next to itself) that is just my 2¢. BTW I would agree with the SATA layout also if the 8 and 6 pins are to be pcie power they look really good.

EDIT: If I forgot to mention it earlier thanks for your input it helps to get perspective on these kinds of things

I've always liked orange accents, but it might be a little much with the colors you've got picked out. Something like the purple or pastel pink might look good. The pastel white would look good too though.

agreed... orange coolent would be too much imo, but you may want to try a berry blue (a bit darker then yuor mobo, but may be a good contrast) smile.gif

here is a slightly revised copy (what i had origonaly actualy... the last one was something i made on the fly actualy rolleyes.gif)

the first 8 and 6 pin will be together... the second will be the side facing the window of the dual 8-pin power cables, and the second 6-pin is the PCI-E to the board (i think i will keep this one blacked out along with blacked out benefix SATA cables

Coming in a little late here.

I have that same motherboard. I noticed that at first you were looking at or thinking about a dark blue. I did the same, choosing MDPC Grand Bleu. That's too dark a blue for that motherboard. I would look at B Magic or Aquamarine instead. At the very least B Magic if you don't want as bright a blue as the aquamarine will be.

As to the coolant, white to match the outside of the case and contrast the painted interior.

Better late than never! Yeah I ordered some B-magic from Nils(I agree Grand Blue is a bit too dark plus Nils was gracious enough to include a little sample of some blues and reds in my white sleeving package so I know what the shades look like). Now I'm looking forward to receiving my packages and getting my hands dirty and sleeving my PSU and creating a custom sleeved power cord. When my funds replenish after the holiday season I will be watercooling and I will be going with a Pastel white. Thanks for the advice!

Hey, guys I just wanted your opinion on the following build I have currently.

What color of MDPC sleeving should I get?

I was thinking about blue, black and/or grey but I'm really not sure in what pattern. Something that would make this POP out.

Different variants of blue and grey sleeving on their website.

If the OCN community can help me that would be awesome!redface.gif

Keep in mind that I'm going to paint the inside black and maybe watercool with blue later.

Cable management sucks, old nice looking case but no cable management space in the back.

Thanks Guys!

Does anyone have a good example of MDPC's yellow? I'm trying to plan a white/gold build but from the website pictures I'm thinking that the MDPC yellow is too bright. Does anyone have any suggestions on what sleeving is more of a deep yellow without going to paracord?
