Sleeved Cable Color Example Gallery and Color Suggestion Thread - Page 59

Hi there, I was hoping somebody might be able to offer some help in choosing some colours, or better yet, show me some photos comparing a couple of things for me.

I would like colour help!

So, I'm working on building a windows PC inside of a PAL SNES case. I posted a question about it on here AGES ago, and unfortunately it's still a work in progress, but it is actually coming along a bit more just of late.

Anyway, just recently I bought an 8BITDO NES 30 Pro Controller:

The controller is pretty much everything that I want it to be - it's reminiscent of real NES and SNES controllers, but has the full button layout of a Playstation or Xbox. To top it all off, it has that awesome NES colour scheme. I'm very much considering using this as the colour scheme throughout my entire build - I'm thinking of spraying the console grey and having some vinyls printed up with the NES graphics on them to match the controllers.

My only issue is that I'm not 100% sold on the bluetooth connectivity of the controller. So far I've only tried using it on my laptop because I haven't bought a bluetooth dongle for my build yet, and already I feel like there's a tiny bit of lag there. I'm concerned about how much lag I'd get with multiple controllers trying to all run off a cheap USB bluetooth dongle.

My solution, of course, is custom sleeved USB cables. Not only will these solve my problem, but they'll also look great and add to that retro feeling of being physically tethered to your console. I'm planning to go through this mob: http://pexonpcs.co.uk/products/usb-cables?variant=878840327# because I don't know how to sleeve, and I don't plan on ever needing to do a lot of it, so don't feel the need to learn. This place ships to Australia and seems to have a pretty decent reputation.

That's where the colour selection comes in. Personally, I think Black sleeves for the cables would just be boring, so I'm thinking either Blood Red or HMS Grey. I'm also considering double layering those colours, and I saw somewhere that a Black and Carbon overlay looks pretty interesting. Having said all of that, I've never seen any of these sleeves in the flesh.

What I'd like from you guys is to ask what your opinions on my colour choices are, what you would recommend, and do any of you have some sleeved cables that you could sit on top of your own NES Controller or 8BITDO Controller and take a photo so that I can see the colours together?

Thanks so much in advance!

Hi, would anybody be able to help me design the colour scheme for the cables on my new build. I'm looking to go for a blue/purple blue with black and a hint of grey smile.gif
I was planning on using the purple as my coolant colour and the blue for the colour in my cables if that helps smile.gif
