Thread Starter
I would like to know if a SeaSonic M12II 620 will handle this rig?
This is for a friends rig.
I'm not should on the cpu or the mobo that will be use so I list 2 CPU and 2 Mobo chipset just to make sure it will work.
The only thing that will be OC is the CPU.
I know Pilerdriver FX cpu are just around the corner and consumes less power than the Bullbozer cpu.

CPU: Phenom II 960T(4.0ghz) or FX-8150(4.5ghz)
CPU Cooler : Scythe Mine 2 (SCMN-2000)
Mobo : 970 or 990FX Chipset Mobo
Video : HD 5970
Ram : 4 gb DDR3 1866
HDD: 1 Sata III SSD and 3 1 TB 5400RPM
Roms : 1 DVD burner and 1 Blu-ray player
Case fans : 3 Scythe SY1225SL12SH 120mm Slipstream

There shouldn't be a problem powering that build even with a high overclock. Both chipset will be fine for both CPUs. Just make sure you get an AM3+ motherboard.

One thing though: why an HD 5970? It's a great card, but unless you can will be getting it for a great deal, there are other options you should consider.

I was planning on selling my 5970 to him. I only need about half the power of the 5970 for the games I play and the Chipset 970 and 990FX are AM3+ mobos.

I use the M12II bronze as well. Look at my rig. It powers that very well. i5-3570k @4.3Ghz, 7950 @ 1100/1300, etc. It's a fantastic PSU. I even ran it with crossfire gpu's in the past.
