help recommend me a mouse?

Thread Starter
hi guys im torn on what to get for a new mouse, scenario is: ive used the logitech mx518 and g400 mice since day one, and i dunno why but i want a new mouse because the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence right? tongue.gif

so the requirements would be:

an ergonomic mouse,
forward and back thumb buttons
is lighter and smaller than the g400,

realistically i had my heart set on buying a razer imperator but after reading these forums i have been well turned off of it, maybe the roccat savu is the way to go?
price isnt too much of a hassle but i dont really want to pay out the ass for a mouse, so around $80 max but the cheaper the better as always

anyways i thought i would finally sign up for these forums and ask for some help!
thanks

thanks for the reply, yeah im starting to think that too. Although i am very tempted to buy myself a imperator and run the gauntlet of the z axis issue, i played around with it in the shop once and it fit my hand like a glove. Decisions decisions... also tempted by the roccat savu but not sure on the rough sandpaper coating it has, and then i start to think maybe i want a sensai or something along those lines? but i worry my ring and pingy finger will fall on the right hand side buttons which i found annoying with the microsoft 1.1a

If you have a Microcenter nearby, just buy the Imperator and if you run into an issue then they will have no issue with taking it back (even open box up until 90 days).

If the glove fits, wear it.

You can't go wrong with a Deathadder Black Edition. Good quality mouse for around 40$ on amazon. Make sure you grab some hyperglides since the mouse feet will be the only thing needed to replace.

ive actually tried a death adder before but i found the mouse to be pretty large and uncomfortable for my hands so i ended up returning it, i wish it did fit well for me because ive heard good things about it, lots of people seem to like it.

Work well for me. I've also used a g400. Solid mouse. Deathadder is pretty ergonomical and high quality. Can't beat the price to performance ratio imo.

if you completely remove the weight system the logitec g500 becomes pretty light but a lil off balance (front weighs more than the back)
