[PC Authority] Has an iPhone 5 been smuggled out of the factory? - Page 5

Meh, at the end of the day it's what's best for the user. I think Android is a great platform, it's just not for me. I run a small business and don't have time to customize or worry about if my phone will work, the iPhone was the smarter phone for ME.

Not sure why people expect a redesign of hardware year after year. The iPad hasnt changed much, Macbooks havent changed much, netiher have iMacs, MacBooks, Mac Mini's, iPods (nano notwithstanding), etc etc. If a design works, stick with it. The iPhone 4S is the most solid feeling device I've ever used. Just my two cents. I think it comes down to how Android OEMs havent been able to nail down a solid, respectable design yet, so they're constantly changing year after year, and not necessarily for the better. They just havent found the type of solid design that Apple has. The formula of sticking with tried and true design obviously works for apple, why wouldnt it work for anyone else?

Even as an Android guy, I was quietly hoping they might do something a little different with this one. The iPhone 4 and 4S are identical to this thing.

Suppose i'll be waiting for the next Nexus, whenever that arrives.

Ive been an iPhone user since the 3g and switched over to Android last year. Seriously you cant compare the two. iPhones are for those who want a more easy experience as being an android user does need some kind of smart to flash and cook roms. Although i love the iPhone's jailbreak community their isnt much to do without ultimately making the iPhone crash at least 7 times a day due to the mods. But they arnt alone either as ive had myself stuck at some boot loops and bricks with the Android Platform. At the end of the day it comes down to what the consumer wants and how well the product works for them. I myself love the customisability of Android where as my Father who owns his own IT Company doesnt have the time to fddle around with it and uses a iPhone because it just works.

Yeah. I'd take my Galaxy Nexus and Motorola Xoom WiFi with Jellybean any day of the week over anything CrApple makes.

What's your problem with people spending their money on things they want. If people want and iPhone let them buy it unless it's money you gave them to buy something else.

And you are giving them to little.

Most people don't care when two years are up if they have a iPhone they most likely what into the store and get another iPhone. When my contract expired I got a list of the Android devices that T-Mobile carried all I needed to do was pick one mail it back and it would have arrived in the mail. I can only imagine the if you have an iPhone already the just ask if you'd like to renew and get a new iPhone of equivalent storage. If you've been on either platform for very long you're not likely to switch.
