Deathadder or Xai

Thread Starter
hi guys smile.gif
im in desperate need of a new mouse as mine has literally just died (random double clicks and long clicks, not clicking when i want it to etc..)
and for a while now ive been looking at the two mice in the title, the Deathadder from razer and the Xai from steel series and basically im hoping
someone can shed some light on the situation on if one is better that the other and why or maybe even suggest to me another option that is even better
though if that is the case of another being better i dont plan on spending more than £40 if i can due to not having much money (also the reason because
they have both recently come into that price range on amazon )

hopefully someone can point me in the right direction in which one to choose,

thanks TJ.

DeathAdder, the original one is 40 bucks, and the 3.5g/Black Edition is 50 bucks. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=deathadder

You may wanna grab some replacement feet with it though. That's the only really complain I have about it. I'm not even bothered by my BE's liftoff distance.

The only thing the xai could possibly have over the deathadder would be if you personally -love- the shape, and hate the deathadder shape.

On paper, sensor quality is not even in the same galaxy of performance. The deathadder is maybe the best sensor on the market today, and the xai is a huge serving of "Meh".

Lo Tj,

What kind of grip do you have? i have both DA and Xai and i can tell you if you have a palm grip you'll feel more comfortable with DA. I can say a lot of thing about these two mices... From my experience, well first i had some motherboard issues with xai (and believe me i lost dozens of hours searching and researching for a solution... one of them was to buy a new usb port...some kind of issue due to not recognize the mouse as an mouse...)...
But apart from that... Xai after some couple of months playing with it, the buttons don't seem to be so tactlie (mushy buttons?) and also don't forget that this mouse is more an hardpad friendly... Also it's sensor is more picky when it comes to dust....and it's grip i think it's more recommended for claw or fingertip grippers...
About DA, well i love it's shape, the rubberized body it's great and also the mouse buttons feel more soft and tactile... It's sensor, well from what i've read it's compatible with most types of mousepads (I'm a cloth type of guy...) but if you like hardpads it's also compatible... (just don't forget that hardpads wear quicker the mouse skates)...and there you have my opinion tongue.gif
