1080p problem help

Thread Starter
Hey everyone

A bit of a weird one basically I connected my old laptop to my 1080p tv via hdmi and will be using it as a htpc but when I select the resolution on windows it doesn't have 1080p but 1280 x 800? What should I do as I would like to use it as a htpc so 1080p is essential.

The Laptop has a blu ray player and GeForce 9200m GS so I would of thought it could support 1080p as its not that old. Let me know if you need teamviewer access to help me out

Thanks

sounds like you might have to update the drivers, or even set a custom display resolution.

if you have the latest drivers, try disabling the main display to only display the tv, then detect display.
