AMD is right on schedule, they've already released all their single GPU cards, so only a very few extreme enthusiasts are waiting for the HD 7990.

HD 7970 already provides enough frame-rates for 3 monitors anyway...

Now just waiting for Nvidia to release the rest of their cards already...because they're REALLY behind.

No I'm not a fan of either company; just tired of waiting to see what Nvidia's got.

I hope this price is right, this will be a perfect addition to my main rig, and move my 7970 into a more compact lanbox, I was considering getting another 7970 for my main rig for a crossfire setup and a GTX 670 or HD 7950 for my HTPC... wink.gif

Why would you get a $300-400 graphics card for an HTPC? Wouldn't a GT 6xx or HD 77xx be good enough?

HTPC is simply a computer used for watching movies and shows, that doesn't necessarily mean it can't be a gaming computer as well!

Yes, but I would think it isn't logical to get an HTPC with a high-end graphics card. It would be too loud. Though if the 7990 is relatively quiet, it is not a bad idea.
