How does this PSU Look?

I need something that will power everything in my "Blue Computer" sig rig with my cpu up to 4.0GHz and with a 6950 or 6970 that I will be overclcoking and buying a second in the future. I only want to buy from newegg and It may be a month before I actually purchase one of these so please go by the actual prices, not rebates or promo codes. I really want to keep the price under $70 or so but I suppose I could go to $90.

It is indeed a good PSU.  The Rosewill Green Series is a recommended series of PSUs.

 

I think that this should be plenty to power Blue Computer if it had two 6970s in it.

 

This review site got their test system to pull 596W from the wall outlet when it had two 6970s in Crossfire.  If their PSU is 85% efficient, then the system pulled about 506W from the PSU.

That's great to hear! I think it couldnt hurt for me to buy that when its only $60 so I think I will. Thanks a bunch for confirming it is good, I would hate to waste any amount of money just to have another junky psu.

Amen to that!  Not only are junk PSUs bad for things like overclocking and gaming, but they can be the slow and gradual death of a computer system if they're junky enough.

It only as two PCIe connectors and even though it's a solid unit, it's not the kind of unit you want to load to 80-90% for extended periods of time.
Make an effort and get that Stable Power Gold @ $90, it's Much better, and it's a steal.

Why couldnt I load it like that? It will stay at 630 watts continuously and up to 7something peak.

Because it is not a high end design, with high end components and serious power reserves... this kind of working regime from a lower-mainstream unit will severely impact it's reliability... if this was a high end 600W unit there wouldn't be any issues, but it's not.

What he's saying is you can get a notable step up in build quality and performance for the extra ~$39 on the Capstone Gold, as well as the PCI-E connectors without needing to use adapters.

So for exactly $40 more, you'd be getting a high-end modular PSU.  In my opinion, this is worth it if you can afford it.
