Read somewhere also Deneb's don't "officially" support 1600.

My Mushkins default at 1600 on my board. Autodetected at 1600 since first install.

Yeah, most C3 Denebs can overclock to 1600Mhz no problem.

You need a HT of 2400Mhz to run 1600Mhz. Calculated at 3 times actual RAM speed at 800Mhz. 1333Mhz RAM is 2000Mhz HT.

My HT link is still at 2000 (stock) though.

Haven't played with it yet.

Yep, you're a C3 stepping. What memory multiplier are you using? x6.66 is default multiplier for 2000HT. Which puts you at 1665Mhz...

OCing the HT is apparently not worth the effort - does not lead to any positive results. In fact, some guides say that it can introduce instability if taken too far. With my C2 940, the system won't boot if HT is over 2000 anyways...

Whats the point of posting that? There is no HT Link even included in the chart. Unless you are mistaking FSB for HT, in which case you need to go back and reread the thread.

AM3 only officially is supported by AMD to 1333.

This official support did not change with E0.

FBS over clocking is also know as HT overclocking HT overclocking and FBS are one and the same the both deal with rasing the Refrence Clock when this is done it changes all settings the Multiplyer,Ram Frequancy the NB Frequancy and the HT Link Frequancy becase it dose this each one of thes things need to be adjusted to work for the cpu your using. You can't just raise the Ref. Clock and expect it to work
