Office Computer - Look over before I buy

Thread Starter
I have to put together an office computer for my parents. The purpose of this computer would to do basic computer stuff and quick books for my mom for her work. I think its a good idea to go with Liano because I don't have to purchase a video card and would be decent for gaming. When I visit my parents at their home and get bored, I want to use this computer and do some light gaming on WoW or Sc2 on low or medium settings.

I want to buy it tomorrow and would like you guys to look it over before I make the purchase. I'm still not sure about the ssd. Are they reliable? My case doesn't fit normal size hard drives so I had to change it to a ssd. And would my psu would enough to power an extra video card if I do decide to add one in the future?

Case - Antec isk 300 $79

I was going to buy the 3850, but the 3870 is currently on sale for $105 and ends 8/2.

Ehh, I would not game on a work computer. Nor would I expect my parent's to let me. Build yourself a portable rig to game on if you need to game when you are at their house rolleyes.gif

I would drop the CPU down to an A6-3650.

You cannot add a video card on that PSU.

If you play 2v2 or larger team games when you load up SC2, an APU would be pretty much the worst possible solution. SC2 requires the fastest per-core performance possible (the weakest area of the AMD APUs), as slowdowns in SC2 are almost invariably due to CPU performance but the game can only use 2 cores. I dunno about WoW, but for SC2, you'd be better off with an intel processor even if you're using integrated graphics!

Of course, if you don't care much about SC2, or only dink around 6-pooling in 1v1 (CPU deficiencies only show up in SC2 when lots of units are in the game/screen), then you're on the right track.

Swap the 1333 for a DDR3-1600 kit at the least or you WILL be bottlenecked!
