Ive been thinking about this for a while now and i think im ready to give it a try. Just wondering if this would be a good start.

I bought one of these kits before... not the HIGHEST quality sleeving, but it will do the job. Frankly, i wish they would give you more 1/8" sleeving because that is the size I preferred the most. some of the bigger size sleeving just went to waste in my build.

I know it is tempting because everything is matching in this kit, but have you looked at all your sleeving options? How much do you want to spend, and how many cables do you have to sleeve?

this is probably a good way to go then. If you make mistakes, you haven't spent much so you wont be losing much. this stuff is pretty easy to work with too.

I have given up on using the pin remover and decided to just cut the connectors off and ordered new pins and uv blue connectors
post #8 of 9
Some of my Seasonic pins just would not come out no matter what I did and I ended up destroying the connectors. But crimping new pins brings it's own challenges without a good crimper. From what I've read here the MDPC crimper is about the best for the price, and it isn't really that cheap unless you compare it to a genuine Molex crimper which is really expensive to me. I have one from FTW PC and it takes some practice to get a decent crimp and I still screw up a lot of pins.
