If the list was prioritized by what people mostly play, it would include WoW, Solitaire, and Maple Story.

you forgot LoL. and if it was prioritized by the games' ability to stress the technology limitations it would have BF3, Dirt 3/Showdown, Shogun 2, Batman:AC, Crysis, Crysis 2 maybe. it's just mostly annoying how they do new card reviews (not just this one) with these old games. and the continued harping on how nvidia made them butthurt. now it feels like an eternity waiting for reviews with relevant tests and all the juicy info that TT could not (understandably) release.

Not to be the devil's advocate, but as stated before, the reviewer(s) probably [lazily] just ran the card through a pre-determined set of hoops to match other reviews they've done in order to compare it to other cards and place it in the hierarchy. They'd have to re-run all these games people request here for those other cards to create a new list with an updated hierarchy. So not necessarily a very thorough review - just a rough idea, since it's pre-release anyway. Reviews describing specific cards by specific manufacturers after the official release date should be more accurate and up-to-date.

I also think it was a bit of a trolling attempt to stir some conversation and controversy, like a glimpse at a shiny piece of candy - which, I must say, they did successfully, judging by replies in this thread - and it probably gave a good boost to the traffic to their site in the meantime.

Those choices should have been better, no doubt. Not sure about Dirt 3, though, and Crisis isn't exactly a new game. Alien vs. Predator is still used in many modern benchmarks due to its heavy use of DX11 features, and I don't think anyone gave a crap about that game when it was new. Jus' saying the technology represented by their suite (well some of it) isn't entirely dissimilar to what current cards are up against. Ultimately I agree the list sucks, but it's not entirely worthless as a baseline for showing off capability. Can't believe I'm defending any aspect of that article, because it really was crap.

Yah just no money, 2 kids, one of which only 4 months old soon. No extra Money comming in and ive only been with this MSP for a year now.

Thats why Im figuring another year or so and I should hopefully be able to atleast buy old but better tech 2nd hand lol

and really im not in a bad position, I truly dont really like many of the newer games that have been out since Source Engine was made lol

Being an avid Beta Tester, im finding my GPU's Limitations more often though =(

the GTS 275 handled SWTOR Flawlessly too. I chose well when i bought this card, I knew the higher 448-bit memory architecture, helps alot with MMO's that have sooooo many players on screen at the same time. Just not enough Power to handle 4x AA all the time, depending on what was going on I usually had to run at 2x AA =(

SO il probobly wait it out for another Gem such as that =)

It's more stressful because Metro's engine is a poorly optimized mess. BF3 gives a better indication as to how a card will perform in current and near future DX11 games.
