I bought the game back in January, and I'm not mad at all. In fact, I'm pretty excited. Runescape has been using this model of P2P/F2P for almost a decade now, and it has shown no signs of dying out. The F2P version essentially is a watered down version of the game so that players can acquire a taste in whether they like it or not. If they do like it, and like it a lot, they'll shell out $15 a month for extra content. I can count among my circle of friends at least 6 people who were interested in trying it out, but didn't want to pay $60 upfront, and $15 every month thereafter to find out if they liked it or not. If you can't see it that way, then you're just a hard-headed fool. This system works, and has worked for years. I'm sad that most MMOs don't start this way, honestly.
