For Sale:
[SOLD] FS: Three Modular 850W Power Supplies

Will Ship To: US50, CA

Up for sale today I have three former jonnyGURU.com review samples. All three weigh in at 850 watts and are semi modular in design.

Before I get to the units in question, here are the usual particulars. I ship from Canada to anywhere US or Canada, APO included, via Canada Post. They've never lost a parcel on me, and I can't use the couriers, so they're about the only option open to me.

I accept payment via Paypal (US, Canada) or email money transfer (Canada only). I have a perfect heatware record here, as well as a perfect iTrader record. I'm proud of that, and will do all I can to make them stay perfect.

Now, two of these units have been apart for their reviews. These, I will personally guarantee for 90 days. I'm an electronics tech by trade, and am known to make these better than factory when possible when I put them back together after their reviews. I correct every single little defect I find in them, whether it's something that could kill the unit or not. I have OCD when it comes to these... I will re-solder any joint that so much as looks at me funny. After I put all units together, they get load tested on the SunMoon load testers I use for the reviews for minimum 30 minutes. This catches the bad ones before they go out.

The third unit has not been apart, and thus not checked by yours truly, but the factory warranty is intact on it. I also did pull it out of the box and load test it to insure working order. I'll still guarantee it against DOA, but I won't do the 90 day thing on that one.

On to the units at hand...

Unit #1 - Corsair HX850 Gold - SOLD

This is my latest review sample, and the review can be found here: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=299

Coming in with a monster single 70A 12V rail, this bad boy is Corsair's updated HX850 unit. It is certified 80 Plus Gold, and had no trouble hitting that target in both cold and hot testing. Ripple control is extremely good on this bad boy to the point that it scored a perfect 10 for performance. Built by CWT. Has a fanless mode at low loads. Hurry up and grab this, folks... I'm tempted to keep it.

Comes with full retail packaging except for the flash drive - I'm keeping that. Cosmetically, it's 9.9/10. I'm not sure I got all the residue off from the warranty sticker.

As mentioned, I'm giving it a 90 day guarantee. It will not fail in 90 days, and will probably be still going strong in 90 months. I've never had any problems from my Corsair samples. This one was assembled so well, I found almost nothing to make better on the inside. There was a pinched wire, but it has been routed up and away from the trouble spot. The insulation on that wire was fine, so it's all good for the long haul now.

Price: $140 USD shipped.

Unit #2 - NZXT Hale82 850W #1 (valid factory warranty) - SOLD

I had two of these units, and the review can be found here: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=274

Built by Seasonic, these also have a single 12V rail of 70A. However, they are only good for 80 Plus Bronze. I didn't find too many issues with these during load testing, though they do get a little rippley on my scope when heated up. As a result of this, these were actually sent all the way back to Seasonic who then tested them and were unable to find the same issues I did. They then came all the way back to me, which is why it's taken me so long to post them for sale.

This is the one I haven't had apart, so you'll be depending on NZXT for warranty service should you need it. I will guarantee against DOA, and that's it.

Comes with full retail packaging.

Price: $90 $80 USD shipped.

Unit #3 - NZXT Hale82 850W #2 (90 day warranty from me) - SOLD

As above, only this is the one I took apart for the review. As such, it enjoys a degree of thoroughness upon re-assembly I rarely have to provide. I was able to cure the high temp ripple issue on this one by blasting the 12V output area with the hot air rework station until there was no doubt everything was soldered down. It now measures in spec both cold and hot.

90 day warranty from me, since I did have it apart. Cosmetically, it's 9.9/10 - it's hard to get all the glue off from that warranty sticker sometimes. Full retail packaging, once again.

Price: $80 USD shipped.

Would you take $65 shipped for the NZXT Hale82 that you've played around with?

Sorry - Florida is too far for me to ship it that cheaply. I can probably move a little on the price, but at $65 the shipping costs would be too high for me frown.gif

Please contact me via PM for future price talk/negotiations.
