G9X rubs on mousepad

Bought a CM Storm Spawn, didnt like the fingerrest. Just got a G9X to give it a try, and ugh. The sides of my precison grip seem to grind all over my pad when I move left->right. The other grip seems to do it as well, but its more noticeable because of the rough texture on the precision... which is the grip i prefer.

The mouse feet seem fine/dont seem used (i dont think? got off newegg). Is this a normal thing?

so it rubs when you move it on the bottom?

Yes, and there seems to be extra "give" to the grips once theyre snapped into place. A wiggle, if you will. After putting weight on the grip(with my hand), they rub. I can pull the grips up which makes the rubbing less noticeable... until I put weight on it again, then it continues rubbing.

i came on here to see if any other threads or topics were posted on the issue, but alas, there was none, never heard a peep about it. Wouldnt have bought it if i knew it scratches **** up like it does

I had the same problem. If you have really tiny hands I guess you can try playing without grip, like those Korean Starcraft pros.

Mine doesn't scratch or grind and I've used it for several years :l

My grip did come loose within a few days though, same thing happened with my old G9, wish they would fix that .. It's still my fav mouse though ;x

Try re-seating the mouse shell again. Mine would do it from time to time because it wasn't quite sitting on those "pegs" the way it should. Just take it completely off and put it back on, if that doesn't work just just working it forwards/backwars while it's on the mouse. Normally it shouldn't rub. Usually it was the plastic frame on the back of my mouse scraping, if I adjusted it, it didn't do it.
