Enkay's Mini Review of the AURIA EQ276W 27" LED Monitor from Micro Center - Page 5

Boot up of the monitor it's self is longer then most post screens... If you want to see post, then let monitor boot up (about 15 sec max) and then boot up PC... In most cases you won't care, but when you do, that will work

just adding my own 2 cents. i have tried GTX 460 as well as on board HD4000, both fail to show boot up on this monitor. for me it is not a big deal, after setting everything needed in the BIOS i rarely ever go back in there.

Again if it is going to post it will do it then. As I already said it works fine on a $15 dollar ati series card. There is no warm up needed on the ati as it is instant. Not sure about you but my monitor has the power on 24-7. But it doesn't work on my 470 gpus. Not sure why I can't get this point across to you in this thread. If it is going to work it will work period.

Thanks you for the updated information on the 460 and HD4000.

Oh! Sry for the miss understanding tongue.gif.. I wrote my last post after a 20 hour shift, so yah tongue.gif... With both a 5870 and a 5850 I see boot screen (and I keep my monitor off whenever I'm not using it, so that's the reason for the other comment)... It is possible that it is a difference between amd and nvidia for what u guys are saying, but I'm not sure... I'll look into the recent boot processes for both and respond here later smile.gif

No worries at all. I thought it was me for a little while. Perhaps not explaining the issue at hand fully. Maybe we can get a club and start listing the cards that do work and the ones that doesn't. It would help out people before they purchase it. As they would know what to expect before they freak out with no post boot screen. Thanks

I'm currently working with Auria tech to solve the no boot post menu on this monitor. So the quicker you post what gpu and what hookup you are using and if it post or doesn't post will help all of us. I'm currently using the vga cable with a dual link adapter and I get the boot menu fine now. So if anyone else is having a issue try that and see if it makes yours work. Thanks

I'm using a HDMI cable I've also used a DVI cable with the same results.

Video Card: EVGA GTX680 2048MB

seems to me it may just be nvidia... i looked at the boot up on both cards, and nvidia does initiate display slightly later in the process (and the auria does take a decent amount of power to run)... the current nvidia cards display around the time of the older AMD gpus (4xxx and below mainly)... it is a very minimal difference, but it may be whats changing the post screen

Since we have a micro center nearby, I'm trying out a EQ276W. First thing I noticed is my video card, a GTX 480 runs 10 degrees hotter at 1440 than running a 1080p resolution. That's just at idle too.

I'm trying to get DVDs and blurays to scale correctly, but so far, they get strectched to full screen. Any ideas on that? Colors are natural, blacks are OK.

We also have a Dell S2440L with AMVA panel, and I must say I prefer the blacks and contrast on it over the EQ276W. I'd love to have it in a 1440 resolution. It has some of the deepest blacks I have seen on a LCD

Your video card running hot is expected. Because it needs to drive more pixels for information.
The same goes with running dual monitor set up.

Not sure about your scale issue.
