You should go for something that can OC higher than 2000mhz 9-9-9-24

The FX memory controllers are really terrible compared to Intel. We have to be very picky with the RAM we use.

The G.Skill Trident X series I know for sure works really well. I have the 1866 8-9-9-24 kit and OC'd to 2456mhz 10-12-12-31 1.67v. I even had it at 2600 but it took too much voltage for daily use.

between these

I would side with the Tridents because I know they work. But the ones you've linked are the 1.5v kit. I use the 1.6v kit. So I don't know how well they will OC. And reading the reviews, I didn't see any AMD owners...

I don't have any faith in Corsair on AMD platforms. They're expensive, haven't seen good OC results, and that kit uses 4 sticks at twice the normal cost. I'd suggest using only 2 high capacity sticks for AMD since we're only dual channel. Look at these...

The kit I own...

And the high clock kit... my kit is running at these same speeds...

And remember, I have the same motherboard and processor (that you soon will be getting) thumb.gif

What X series? The blue or red?

The blue and black ones are some of the highest OC'ing RAM out there.

I have a set of the red ones. They're ok for a daily rig. But the blue and black ones aren't sold anymore mad.gif
