Installing X1800XT drivers

Thread Starter
Ok, while i wait for my windows to install (i accidentally told it to completely format my 500GB hdd array...not the quick way and it's at 1% after like 5 minutes )

Anyway, I have had this system for a couple/three months now. I want to try my hand at OCing the video card. The question i have is:

When get ready to install the drivers for it, do I install from the CD or do I download and install something else to be able to use ATI tool.

The last 2 times I did this and tried to mess w/ ATI Tool Beta 14, I tried to get the square thingy to pop up so i could mess with it and the program told me that it couldn't use the card because i wasn't useing it....or something like that

Any ideas?

Oh, and i'm at 2% now
