Fake Noppoo choc mini keyboard??

So,

I have a Noppoo Choc mini with cherry mx Reds already, and I decided to get one with Browns and give the one with reds away to a friend.

I order one from "intelligent-pro" on ebay, who had 25k+ transactions with 99.4% positive feedback. A sure thing, I figure.

Today I got my package, and immediately some things strike me as very odd.
The space bar where Noppoo is written has been overwritten with a sharpie or other type of marker. The Noppoo logo on the back of the keyboard has also been overwritten.
The keys them selves are not the matte white that the regular noppoo choc mini is, not that that necessarily is a drawback, but it clearly indicates that this keyboard is odd.
The keyboards have a clear difference in height and angle of the keys them selves.
The support pads underneath are clearly different.
The "case" of the keyboard is very different.

The first noppoo choc mini that I ordered was from Qtan which is a beyond repute dealer on eBay who has had intimate contact with geekhack etc. He's legit, and I know for a fact that the cherry mx red keyboard is legit.
This one with cherry mx browns is clearly a copy of some kind. **** this sucks.

Thoughts?
Here are some pics of my genuine keyboard next to this other presumably fake one:

I believe they wanted to cover up the ugly logo.

I think the darker keys one is the Gen1 Noppoo. The lighter key one is Gen2.

I hate it when people's questions are answered at TWO forums and yet they disappear.

Hi Ripster,

Thanks for your reply.
I got married August 4th and was entertaining over 40 guests for two days after, so I really hope you will find it in your heart to forgive my 48 hour delay in responding to these threads.

When I get home from work today I'll try to run the ID as suggested in the geekhack thread. This morning I was about to, but didn't have enough time. I got the ID, but when I googled that exact ID i got no hits. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, I'm not sure if this is how you're supposed to check.

Thanks,
and sorry again

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I also recently ordered a choc mini from intelligent-pro on august 1st and it should be arriving today according to the tracking info. Unfortunately I did not complete the transaction on ebay due to the fact that I ordered the version with blues, so any complaints will most likely be up to him to decide. I'm hoping that I got the brighter key gen2 version, but I really hope that it does not have that strange marker over the noppoo logo. I will update my post when it finally arrives.

So i ordered mine from amazon and it arrived yesterday. I'm kind of dissapointed to be honest, it looks nothing like in the pictures and feels kind of cheap. Has noppoo themselves said anything about this?
