New z77 sabertooth will be here this week. Also, since i require 5 pci-e 6 pin cables and my hx 850 only comes with 4 is it possible that i can take a 6 pin pci-e male to male and plug it into a non pci-e modular space on my psu or would i have to upgrade my psu?

check the box that your card came in, there will most likely be a 4-pin molex to 6-pin adapter in there. thumb.gif

Totally not long enough :x

The hx750 has 4 8 pin plug ins and goes to 4 6+2 pcie cables. I have 2 periphrial 6 pin slots left on the psu. So would it work if i plugged an extra 6 pin pcie into one and ran it to the sound card.

First, what sort of power does your sound card need ? I would go the route of using a molex to 6 pin connector, are you able to extend the length by splicing pieces of wire ? Very simple but you need a soldering iron, wire and shrink tubing. thumb.gif

It requires a 6pin pci-e cable. What i could do to keep appearences up is get a nzxt 6 pin extenstion then go into 6 pin to molex.

BUT

Im going to be getting three massive paychecks (read 2-3k+ per week) starting friday so i might as well upgrade to an ax1200i and never have to replace a psu again lol

I'm about to lose my marbles. Got this message from my tech today

Ok so we have got the new board in and replaced it and now the machine isn’t posting again. The new board has failed and both of your video cards will not post in any machine. This is making me wonder if your power supply is not killing all these parts.

Going to bring my new ax1200i to them asap and file rma on the cards -_-;;

In the mean time, this friday i will order a GTX 690 from the local shop if memory express is able to issue a refund instead of parts replacement.

Okay guys, i crunched the numbers and i have two routes i can go.

This friday i will have enough cash to outright buy two replacement cards while waiting for rma. (if mem xpress cant refund then i'll just sell the cards i got from rma. Money is no issue.

I can either do

4gb GTX 680 x2

Or

GTX 690

I play on a 120hz monitor i want to be able to play pretty much anything on absolute max settings and maintain minumum 50-60fps something crazy like that.

Which way should i go? (my current 680's are 2gb versions)

Okay so trashed the above idea.

RMA will be issuing a full refund of costs, dead parts will be sent out next day expedite tomorrow morning smile.gif

Edit:// Ordered 2 MSI GTX680 Lightnings. System should be all up and running next week!

And finally a moment for some pics!

Please note these were taken before my rma and before any hardware issues popped up
