OCZ Vertex 120gb or Corsair GT 90gb

I need to choose one of these and buy it today. Both are on sale and in my budget of $100. Which one is more reliable? I'm not too worried about speed, I'm more worried if its reliable. If none of these which ssd should I get withing my budget and that would give me atleast 90-120gb?

*and how much free space would I have left over after I install windows 7?

Nevermind. Been reading this board and seems like everyone likes the Crucial m4 128gb or Samsung 830 128gb. I'm going to wait for a sale on one of these ssd. But I see a lot of different 128gb on newegg. Theres several different 128gb models that each company has. Which of them should I get from each company.

Get the cheapest of them imo.

Usually the more expensive ones just have something else with then besides just a drive such as cloning software, 2.5"-2.5" adapter, or they are a different size, 9.5mm or 7mm for ultra and net books.

I just got a 128Gb Samsung 830 for $85 a few days ago.

Seriously, $100 is already a pretty decent deal on the Samsung 830. Since you're in California, get it from Amazon instead for the same price with free shipping while there's still a reprieve on sales tax. With CA sales tax, that $85 becomes $90+ anyway. tongue.gif

Wouldn't be my first choice if the primary concern is reliability but if it will only be used for OS/programs and not storing important data, for that price, why not? Issues with SandForce SF-2200 have been mostly solved anyway and unless you're one of the unfortunate few with a set-up that doesn't play nice with SF-2200, I don't really foresee a lot of problems.

SF-2281 controller with Toggle-Mode NAND similar to the OCZ Vertex 3 MAX IOPS , SanDisk Extreme and Mushkin Chronos Deluxe.
