Matrix NEO Korean monitor?

I purchased a Samsung 27" 1080p monitor from the egg about a week ago. I've been a bit annoyed with the lack of screen space (had a 1200p monitor) and the awkward colors so I decided to have a go on the korean rush.

I just ordered a Perfect Pixel 27" Inch Matrix NEO LED 270WQ IPS 2560x1440 WQHD Quad HD Monitor from bigclothcraft as having an assurance there are no dead pixels is a real deal for me.

I tried looking around for reviews on this monitor but didn't see anyone mention it besides asking something similar. Does anyone have one or experience with the monitor?

I am pretty sure it is the same LG panel that the Shimians and Catleaps use, so panel wise you should be OK. There really isn't a big difference between the Korean displays that are being imported other than the house they sit in and if they have tempered glass or not.

I had seen the Matrix and they looked to be a good display, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Not that anyone replied so I'm not sure how much of a problem it is. Highly likely that I was just very unlucky, as the guy above said, they're all the same panel. Then again I'm thinking that the problem with this one may be the PCB and that does differ between the models. I think you're probably taking a bit more of a risk buying one of these, I googled before I bought this and couldn't find a damn thing about anyone else having gotten one.

By the way I bought the same one you're looking at, the Perfect Pixel one from bigclothcraft. Who was very communicative up until I reported the problem, and now haven't heard from in two days. He says he checks each one before shipping, this sort of problem doesn't quite seem like something that would pop up during shipping, especially since the box and stuff it was wrapped in was in mint condition, no obvious signs of being dropped or mishandled. But he has a great reputation around here so I'm likely just very unlucky.

dang, no offense man but I I really hope that you were just unlucky XD. Even the non-'pixel perfect' catleaps and Shimians were cheaper than this (from other sellers) So I'm hoping that it was worth it paying the extra amount. I guess I'll find out next week.

Yeah I too hope for your sake mine was a one off haha. Bigclothcraft seems like a decent guy and his Perfect Pixel system is better than anyone elses (other sellers seem to allow a heap of stuck pixels or something). I wouldn't worry, somehow something must have happened to this in transit I think. Look at it this way, one in...what....a hundred?...might be dodgy? Doubt he's sold a hundred of these in the last two days so the chances of yours being dodgy so soon is very low =P

I have a feeling he sells the perfect ones for more and then the ones that don't pass as 'pixel perfect' he prices at the regular price and has the 'may have up to 5/15 dead pixels' rating on them.

I guess we all will see in a week or so.

I hope mine ships tomorrow. I wonder how he can do 3-5 day shipping from korea, doesn't it have to clear customs and all that?

I just received my Matrix Neo monitor today. It's the best monitor I've laid my eyes on ( previously owned ZR24w). However, non of the OSD buttons working except for the volume up and down ( not even brightness). And every time the monitor go to power save mode, it turn on randomly for 2s then turn itself back to power save mode again. This happen repeatedly every minute. If anyone has the same problem , let me know? Thanks
