I thinkg EC1 EVO has better tracking, they fixed the jittering issues.
If u are using QCK Fnatic forget both mice, they have problems with colored mousepads.

They track identically, I have an AM and EC2 evo and the tracking is the same.

They work on some colored mouse pads but I believe the Fnatic QcK is a bit spotty with the Zowie mice, they're fine on my Goliathus and Talent.
If you say your hands are big then you may find the AM to be a bit cramped, its a fairly small mouse, much smaller than the EC1/2.

Try using them at max dpi.

They both jitter at 1150-2300.
I've had these mice for several months, the only real difference with the tracking is that the DPI levels feel different. The EC2 feels like 460-470ish and the AM feels like 480-500, depending on the surface.

Good to know, I was biased that they changed something.

One obvious difference is circuit design (can effect tracking). Firmware should be the same.
