Asus 6870 DirectCU in crossfire.Battlefield 3 Ultra settings lags.

Hi guys!I just got my second Asus directcu and set it up in crossfire I was so exited to set up Battlefield 3 in Ultra,but unfortunately the game was lagging a lot.So my two 6870 nt good enough to run Battlefield 3 in Ultra?or my settings are wrong.
My spec. are:
Evga x58 Sli Le
DDR 3 12 Gb
2 Asus 6870 DirectCu in crossfire not overclocked running on the latest drivers.
CPU i7 920
Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

what clock on your cpu? Download fraps to see how many fps you're getting. Also, disable/un-check "Catalyst A.I. -- Enable Surface Format Quality" in the CCC. If there's still no improvement, try setting the game to the lowest settings and run it. Then start increasing the settings little by little until you notice the lag during game play. .

What resolution? 1gb of vram isn't quite enough to run battlefield 3 on ultra settings, turn msaa off

Try bumping up to 3.6-3.8 and if it allows, 4.0-4.2. You get a noticeable boost in performance.

correct. OP run MSAA at 2x. Because MSAA 4X requires more than 1 GB. If it still stutters just run with MSAA turned off.

Thank you guys for help disabling MSAA helped a lot,really thank you now I'm getting about 130 Fps in 1680×1050 resolution.
