I'm interested in these three choices. What do you guys think? I'm looking for one that I would be easy to root.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm currently using the Iphone 4.

I think the s3 is the best out right now. I was thinking about getting one but I decided that I would wait to the next iphone so that I can get and android that will out preform it. The phone market is very fast to update itself. thumb.gif

Don't know much about the Nexus but I hear it's pretty good. But I personally avoided the One X for 2 main reasons, non-removable battery, and no sd card slot. Those killed it right there. Been loving my S3 though.

If you're buying it on contract, go with the Galaxy S3, off contract Galaxy Nexus. Worst case scenario if you don't like the S3 you can sell it for $500+ and pick up a Galaxy Nexus for $350.

The S3 should have pretty good community support, but the Nexus has official dev support, so it will be smoother and stabler(ie, more iPhone-like)

I'd take the HTC One X over either phone anyday.

My choice:

1. One X
2. Nexus
3. S3

Reasons being are many. I work for bell and sell many S3's. To me it is one of the ugliest flagship phones. The HTC One X is one of the most gorgeous phones, so much so that I decided to sell my Galaxy S2 and get one. The camera is much better on the One X over the S3 too (The app in general). I just put Jelly Bean on my One X and it's fantastic. I could only stand Sense for about a month before changing it out for something much better.

The Samsung Galaxy S3's camera is much better than the HTC One X's camera.

Samsung upgraded the sensor on the S3 so its better than the S2's camera.

The HTC One X uses the same sensor as the Samsung Galaxy S2.

The HTC One X's video camera is absolutely terrible because it can only record at 19 FPS and has less detail. Worst video camera ever.

why not wait for the 1080p phablet coming out by the end of the year?

but if you had to choose..
1. gs3
2. one x
3. gal nexus

i have the gs2 and i can tell you from my own experience and others that samsung phones are very easy to root..all i had to do was flash a kernel via odin, and i can restore to stock at anytime(so i have a rooted phone, with warranty.)
specs wise its listed as above, the GS3 has the best soc, and best camera..on all other areas they are more or less equal, the GS3 even comes packing a wolfson audio chip(which is really good)
also speaking from experience, many of my friends have experienced crappy htc build quality from htc sensation/amaze(not sure about the one series tho) and rooting sounds like a hassle to me(especially after the unable to root one s debacle over at rootzwiki)
overall, get the gs3!(international variant, if possible)

The nexus's faults aside its a pretty good phone. Rooting was a 2 click affair with the GNEX Toolkit. All of the JB roms are super smooth, now if your going with the GSM Nexus it comes with JB stock and has Google Wallet pre-installed. The S3 is more or less the same phone just slightly different hardware(slightly more powerful) and not following the Nexus model (kinda like the Verizon Nexus).
The One X has sense which after using vanilla android for the last year on my Inspire 4g I doubt I will ever go back to HTC. That and they have promised updates to ICS on some phones only to come back after the ETA and say sorry we gave up no ICS for you. They also have taken options like face unlock improve out of the settings menu for no reason. Face unlock is useless with only one picture on file.

http://versusio.com/en/samsung-galaxy-nexus-32gb-vs-samsung-i9300-galaxy-s-iii (dont listen to the direct updates, still no JB update for the CDMA GNEX yet there is one for the GSM)
http://versusio.com/en/samsung-galaxy-nexus-16gb-vs-samsung-i9300-galaxy-s-iii
http://versusio.com/en/htc-one-x-vs-samsung-i9300-galaxy-s-iii

For phone specs I will say the S3 is the victor, I chose the GNEX over the S3 due to the price that Amazon had it for, 1 penny.

AOSP > than S3, and One X. Not even close. I'm loning my 60 FPS on JB.
