I have both the Model S Blue and Brown. The "Silent" are browns, otherwise, the switches are blue. This deal is for the blue switches, which I prefer for typing, and not really for gaming (though RTS players sometimes prefer blue switches).

MX Blue switches are essentially the bane of all FPS/RPG players. They're alright if you play RTS or MOBA games, but they're really only good for straight-up typing.

In my opinion, brown's are the jack of all trades, and blues are for the typists of the world. Sadly my coworkers disdained my use of blue switch keyboards, so as of now, proud owner of Das Model S Silent (brown switches).
It's well built for sure, but it has a glossy chassis, so it's a little higher maintainence then other keyboards. However you can't deny that it looks sharp.
